Richie Incognito has had a checkered past.
The Raiders offensive guard was involved in a bullying scandal when he was with the Miami Dolphins, and he was arrested in Arizona in 2018 after threatening to shoot people at a funeral home where his father's body was being kept. Incognito wanted the funeral home to give him his father's head for research purposes. The incident came during a year in which Incognito was retired from the NFL.
Incognito elected to return to football, signing a one-year contract with the Raiders in the offseason. He was suspended for the first two games of the season for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
After battling issues with alcohol, marijuana and his own mental health, Incognito feels good and is ready to focus on the future with the Raiders.
incognito discussed the funeral home incident with HBO's "Real Sports" in an episode that will air Tuesday.
"It was an emotional day for myself," Incognito said. "I showed up at the funeral home and I wasn't in my best health. I thought I was acting normal. You couple in the days not sleeping, then the heavy marijuana dose plus the drinking. All that is a recipe for disaster for a person like myself."

Incognito returned Sunday in the Raiders' 34-14 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, but his presence on the offensive line should help the Silver and Black going forward as they look to get their ground game going.
