Raiders Inactives: Lamarcus Joyner to Miss Second Straight Game

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – Lamarcus Joyner barely worked in this week's practice. He did a bit on Wednesday before the official session began and some limited activity on Friday, leaving long odds that he'd play on Sunday against the New York Jets here at MetLife Stadium.

He was formally designated questionable and made the trip to the Big Apple just in case he could find a way to play. He is, after all, one of the team's best overall defenders.

Ultimately, however, Joyner wasn't deemed ready to play.

He was among the Raiders inactives heading into this game. The seven-man list revealed no major surprises. Reserve tackle David Sharpe was ruled out on Friday, and head coach Jon Gruden made it clear linebacker Preston Brown wouldn't be ready after signing with the team on Monday.

Receiver Keelan Doss, quarterback DeShone Kizer, center Erik Magnuson and defensive tackle Terrell McClain were also inactive for the Raiders.

The Jets will play without Nate Hairston and Darryl Roberts, both listed as starting cornerbacks on their depth chart.
