UPDATE (2:46 pm PT on Monday): The Raiders announced their 10-man practice squad and it features defensive end Max Valles, a 2015 sixth-round draft pick by Oakland.

The Raiders roster was cut to 53 players on Saturday. They'll add 10 guys to the organization starting Sunday, when they construct a practice squad. Most of them will be familiar, with guys who spent the summer in silver and black.

The Raiders hoped to add offensive lineman Ian Silberman to the group – position coach Mike Tice loved him -- but he was claimed by the Indianapolis Colts. Every other Raiders waived went unclaimed, leaving options when forming a practice squad.

Here's a running list of players signed:

5:32 p.m.: Rookie guard Jordan Simmons was signed to the practice squad, a source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area.

5:30 p.m.: A day after waiving linebacker Shilique Calhoun, the Raiders have signed their former third-round pick to the practice squad, a source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area.

5:29 p.m.: Rookie tight end Pharoah Brown has been signed to the practice squad, according to The Athletic.

10:32 a.m.: Defensive end Fadol Brown was added to the reserve unit, per SB Nation. He was hurt most of camp, but has NFL size and athleticism. Developmental prospect could contribute down the road.

10:21 a.m.: Cornerback Breon Borders joins the practice squad, per the Las Vegas Review Journal. He flashed early in camp and has quality cover skills, but needs tackling work and greater consistency.

10:18 a.m.: The Raiders added receiver Keon Hatcher to the practice squad, according to a league source. Hatcher was the best rookie receiver, and flashed several times throughout camp.

10:16 a.m.: Receiver Isaac Whitney joins the practice squad, according to his agent. Whitney has great speed, but suffered an arm injury late in the preseason.
