Raiders Sign Veteran Defensive Tackle

The Raiders added more veteran depth to their mix by signing defensive tackle Ahtyba Rubin. His agency announced the move on Monday afternoon.

Rubin stands 6-foot-2, 310 pounds and has 107 starts to his credit over 10 seasons.

He will turn 32 in July.

The interior defensive lineman, known primarily as a nose tackle, will join a veteran mix that features several players over 30 years old, and has experience learning new systems.

Rubin played seven seasons with the Browns, two with the Seahawks and spent the 2017 regular season with Denver and Atlanta.

He has 15 sacks, two interceptions and six forced fumbles in his career. He's known primarily for run defense, and could offer rotational depth inside behind Justin Ellis should he make the 53-man roster.

The Raiders did not immediate announce the move, so the corresponding move is not yet known.
