Rapper Lil B Could Be Warriors' Secret Weapon Against Harden, Rockets

Some believe that a Bay Area rap star may have magical sway when it comes to a Warriors win against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

Lil B's well-publicized curse against Rockets star James Harden for appropriating the "cooking dance" he says he invented may be a secret asset in Wednesday's game against the Warriors at Oracle Arena

The rapper now plans to attend the playoff game in person.

Rap-savvy Warriors fans have created photo memes with Lil B's Internet-famous "thank you Based God" phrase in appreciation of a hex that they think has been working in the series so far.

Born Brandon McCartney and raised in Berkeley, Lil B has long held hoop dreams of his own.

In 2012, he tried out for the Santa Cruz Warriors, the Golden State Warriors' D-League team. Two years later, he released "Hoop Dreams," a basketball-themed mixtape that featured a song and video called "Gotta Make the NBA."

Lil B has beefed with other NBA stars in the past.

In 2011, Lil B placed a curse on Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant after he said the player tweeted out unflattering remarks on his rapping skills.
