Monday night's Game 5 of the NBA Finals reportedly is the hottest ticket in town, and that's an understatement.
The average ticket price on Stubhub for the potentially decisive contest in the best-of-seven series between the Warriors and Toronto Raptors is $2,223, according to Action Network's Darren Rovell. It's also made more money than any other NBA game in the site's history.
JUST IN: Tonight's Game 5 in Toronto is now the highest grossing NBA game in @StubHub history, besting Game 7 of the 2016 Finals (Cavs-Warriors). Average sold price is $2,223 per ticket. There have been buyers from 31 states & 25 countries.— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) June 10, 2019
Stubhub wasn't the only site on the secondary market with eye-popping prices. As of publication approximately an hour before tipoff, here are the cheapest seats available at Scotiabank Arena if you were looking to buy a single ticket:
- Section 324, Row 15: $1,873 (Vivid Seats)
- Section 313, Row 8X: $1,940 (Gametime)
- Section 312, Row 16: $2,559.50 (SeatGeek)
With the Raptors one win away from the franchise's first NBA championship in its quarter-century of existence, a Toronto victory could make any price money well spent for Raptors fans. At least they'd be dry.
