It isn't even June 20 yet, and things appear to be heating up.
The Cavs are working on multi-team trade scenarios in their efforts to land Jimmy Butler, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.
In July 2015, Jimmy Butler signed a 5-year extension with the Bulls worth a little over $92 million.
Despite the fact he's on a very reasonable deal for a player of his caliber, he is repeatedly rumored to be on the trade block.
Butler averaged 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game last season and was named All-NBA Third Team.
After the Cavs lost to the Warriors in the NBA Finals, LeBron James was asked about how Cleveland can compete with the Warriors moving forward.

"Well, it's a two-sided question because for me personally -- I don't know," James told reporters. "I need to sit down and figure this thing out. And so I don't know as far as me personally right now. But as far as that team, they're going to be here for a while. They're going to be around for a while.
Pretty much all their guys are in their 20s. Pretty much all their big-name guys are in their 20s, and they don't show any signs of slowing down. So there's going to be a lot of teams that's trying to figure out ways to put personnel together to try and match that if they're able to actually face them in a playoff series, both Eastern Conference and Western Conference.
Because they're built for -- from my eyes, they're built to last a few years. So we'll see."
Adding Butler (depending on what they would have to give up) would cetainly make the Cavs a more dangerous threat to the Warriors.
