Yusmiero Petit is returning to the Bay Area.
The former Giants pitcher has agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with the A's, according to The Athletic. The deal includes a club option for a third season.
According to the report, Petit will make $3.5 million in 2018, $5.5 million in 2019 and has a $1 million buyout or $5.5 million club option for 2020.
Petit pitched in San Francisco from 2012 to 2015. The 33-year-old spent the 2016 season with the Nationals and pitched for the Angels in 2017.
Last season, Petit appeared in 60 games for the Angels. He posted a 2.76 ERA and struck out 101 batters in 91.1 innings.
Petit's most notable season with the Giants came in 2014. He made 12 starts and appeared in 39 games overall. In 117 innings, he struck out 133 batters and registered a 3.67 ERA.
