The Giants began their Monday doubleheader with the Colorado Rockies with a bang, beating their division rivals 19-2.
San Francisco scored 16 unanswered in the first six innings, before Colorado scored its first run of the day. The Rockies trailed by 13 runs entering the bottom of the fourth inning, when AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain analyst Ryan Spilborghs blurred out the scoreboard with the telestrator.

Spilborghs and play-by-play broadcaster Drew Goodman told their producer to remove the score bug from the broadcast, but according to Awful Announcing, the former decided to take matters into his own hands when the graphic remained on-screen. He scribbled over the score, and it stayed that way for the next couple of innings, according to the site.
The first game of Monday's doubleheader marked the Rockies' worst defeat of the season. Colorado lost by more runs than any other game in 2019, and allowed a season-high 19 runs. By the time the Rockies' broadcasters obscured the scoreboard, the box score looked like something out of "Space Jam" than a July baseball game involving one of the five lowest-scoring teams in the sport, and the new-look graphic added to the absurdity of it all.

Spilborghs might not be able to put away the pen just yet, though. The Giants have scored double-digit runs in consecutive games twice this season, including against the Rockies in early May.
If a repeat performance is in the cards at 5:40 p.m. PT on Monday night, viewers in Colorado could need to keep their phones handy to check the score.
