Royals Vs. A's Lineups: Ramon Laureano Returns After a Getting Day Off

OAKLAND -- Ramón Laureano will be back in the lineup as the A's open a three-game series against the Kansas City Royals on Monday night at the Coliseum.

Laureano got a day off Sunday as he continues to recover from a stress reaction in his right shin, which caused him to miss the entire month of August. He will start in right field and bat second.

Oakland enters the series on a six-game winning streak, now 90-60 for the season, the same exact record as last year through 150 games. The A's lead Tampa Bay by 1 1/2 games and Cleveland by three games in the AL wild-card race.

Veteran right-hander Tanner Roark will be on the hill for Oakland. Roark, 32, is 4-1 with a 3.40 ERA in seven starts since joining the A's. Overall this season, he is 10-8 with a 4.01 ERA in 28 starts.

Kansas City will counter with right-hander Glenn Sparkman. The 27-year-old is 4-11 with a 5.94 ERA in 28 games this year, including 20 starts.
