Evander Kane has a rocky relationship with the city of Las Vegas due to his prominent role in the ongoing rivalry between the Sharks and Golden Knights, and it reportedly took another downturn Tuesday.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal's Mick Akers reported Tuesday that Kane has been sued by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas for $500,000 in unpaid gambling markers the casino extended to him in April. Court documents state that the San Jose forward took out eight credits varying between $20,000 and $100,000 on or about April 15.
A glance at the calendar reveals that date would have fallen in between Games 3 and 4 of the first-round playoff series between the Sharks and Golden Knights, which Vegas won 6-3 and 5-0, respectively. Kane was removed from both games after fighting Vegas' Ryan Reaves late in Game 3 and getting a 10-minute misconduct and resulting ejection in the third period of Game 4.

Neither the Sharks nor The Cosmopolitan commented to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
