Sharks Have Opportunity to Pull Ahead of Avs With Game 5 Victory

SAN JOSE -- The Sharks and Avalanche are knotted up at two games apiece in their second-round faceoff. But San Jose has a chance to pull back ahead of the competition Saturday night as the series returns to the South Bay for Game 5.

Forward Joonas Donskoi is a game-time decision for Team Teal after missing the last five playoff games with an unspecified injury. If he returns to the lineup, he will possibly slot back onto Tomas Hertl's wing opposite of Evander Kane. Sharks' captain Joe Pavelski remains out of the lineup as he recovers from an injury he sustained in Game 7 against the Vegas Golden Knights.

Heading into Saturday's game, San Jose is 17-18 in Game 5 situations and 11-6 during that span when playing at the Tank.
