Forward Joonas Donskoi is a game-time decision for San Jose after missing the last five playoff games with an unspecified injury. If he returns to the lineup, he possibly will slot back onto Tomas Hertl's wing opposite of Evander Kane.
Sharks captain Joe Pavelski remains out of the lineup as he recovers from an injury he sustained in Game 7 against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Heading into Saturday's game, San Jose is 17-18 in Game 5 situations and 11-6 during that span when playing at the Tank.
