The San Jose Sharks continue their contentious Round 1 matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday evening as the series moves to Sin City for the next two contests, starting with Game 3 on Sunday evening.
The Sharks will be without defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic, who sustained an undisclosed injury after blocking a shot in Game 2. Tim Heed, who last penciled into the Sharks' lineup on April 4 against the Edmonton Oilers, will take his place.
Sunday marks the 25th time the Sharks will play a Game 3 playoff contest. According to statistician Darin Stephens, San Jose has played in 24 Game 3s since 2006, and 12 of those games have gone into overtime – the most of any team during that same stretch of time.
