Source: Raiders Hire New Strength and Conditioning Coach

The Raiders took some time finding their new strength and conditioning coach. Tom Shaw was let go during the 2018 season for what head coach Jon Gruden called a "personal matter," and had his assistants finish out the campaign and assist the Senior Bowl's practice week.

The Raiders have selected A.J. Neibel to lead the strength and conditioning program, a source confirmed on Sunday.

ESPN was first to report the news.

Neibel spent the past two seasons as Jacksonville's athletic performance specialist and physical therapy assistant. He was with the Atlanta Falcons in several capacities before that.

This is not Neibel's first time wearing Raiders colors. He spent six seasons with the team, from 2003-08.

In other Raiders coaching news, the Silver and Black have reportedly lost running backs coach Jemal Singleton to the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati's FOX 19 reported the Singleton has moved on after a year with the Raiders. He reunites former Raiders quarterbacks Brian Callahan, who was recently named Bengals offensive coordinator.

The Raiders must hire Singleton's replacement and find a new defensive backs coach after Derrick Ansley left for the University of Tennessee. Callahan's spot hasn't been filled, yet, either.
