Sources: Warriors Coaching Staff Set to Undergo Changes in Offseason

OAKLAND – There has been plenty of conversation about roster composition of the Warriors next season, though there might be no more change there than within the coaching staff.

At least two assistants are expected to leave, and a third is not out of the question.

Willie Green, after three seasons as a player development coach, almost certainly will land with the Phoenix Suns as a full-time assistant under new coach Monty Williams, according to league sources.

"It's already a done deal," insisted one source on Tuesday.

The Williams-Green relationship goes back at least as far as 2003, when Green was drafted by the 76ers and Williams was finishing his NBA career in Philadelphia. Green also was a member of the Hornets in 2010-11, the first of five seasons Williams spent as the head coach in New Orleans, which adopted the Pelicans nickname in 2013.

Green, 37, was a highly respected as a player and remains so early in his coaching career.

Chris DeMarco, the team's other player development coach, is "likely" to join the Kings, where he would work under new coach Luke Walton, according to league sources. Walton and DeMarco worked together as assistants for two seasons (2014-2016) under Warriors coach Steve Kerr.

Assistant coach Jarron Collins is, according to sources, still among the candidates for the Memphis Grizzlies. Collins interviewed last month. The Grizzlies have yet to fill their opening.

"There is, as of now, no news," a source close to Collins told NBC Sports Bay Area on Sunday.
