Steph Curry ‘making Good Progress,' But Likely Won't Play on Christmas

Two weeks after the Warriors said they would provide an update on Steph Curry's ankle, the team issued the following statement:

"Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, who has missed the team's last five games due to a sprained right ankle suffered on Dec. 4 at New Orleans, was re-evaluated by the team's medical staff today. The evaluation indicated that the ankle is healing well and that he is making good progress overall, enabling him to progress to modified on-court workouts in the coming days. He will be re-evaluated in one week with the anticipation of having more clarity at that time on a potential return to game action plan."

That update means that barring something miraculous happening, Curry will miss Monday's Christmas Day showdown against the Cavs.

The Warriors are 5-0 in Curry's absence.

Additionally, the Warriors are listing Draymond Green (shoulder), Shaun Livingston (knee) and Zaza Pachulia (shoulder) as questionable for Wednesday's game against Memphis. All three missed Monday's game in Los Angeles.
