Stephen Curry Meets Fan With Disability Ahead of Warriors-Hawks Game

Stephen Curry was at it again.

No, he didn't break more 3-point records, although he did convert six more treys in Monday's Warriors win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Prior to taking the court for the game in Atlanta, Golden State's point guard made the day of someone with a disability -- yet again.

"I'm glad I'm able to play today," Curry told Boston Smith, who was about to see the two-time NBA MVP play in person for the first time. "I've been out for like three weeks, but I made sure I could come back and play for you so you can watch and have some fun."

Smith, 18, was involved in a serious car accident in June, in which his car spun out of control and hit a tree. The accident left Smith in critical condition, with severe bodily injuries.

It's been a long road back for Smith, a high school basketball and football player who, as of last week, was practicing rolling over and transferring from car to car, according to the Boston Smith Strong Twitter account that provides up-to-date information on his recovery. He also got to eat popcorn for the first time since the accident.

The most recent tweet prior to Monday indicated that "Monday will be a huge day for Boston," and it certainly was.

"He says he's been out, too," Smith's family relayed to Curry, causing all to chuckle.

Curry and the Smith family gathered for a group photo before he headed to the Warriors' locker room.

Attaboy, Steph. And here's hoping Boston is able to return to the court, too, in the not-too-distant future.
