Steve Kerr plans to issue a personal apology, but not for anything he did.
The Warriors head coach told the media on Thursday that he will apologize to the Toronto Raptors and their point guard Kyle Lowry for the incident involving Golden State minority owner Mark Stevens.
"I saw the commotion afterwards, but I haven't seen a replay and I didn't really even know the story until this morning," Kerr said. "I know our organization has put out a release, and I will let the release speak for itself. It's really not my jurisdiction. But I will also personally apologize to Kyle and to the Raptors. That's unacceptable."
Stevens was banned for a year by the league and the Warriors on Thursday for shoving Lowry and directing a vulgar statement towards him. Stevens was also fined $500,000.
The incident occurred early in the fourth quarter of Game 3 on Wednesday night when Lowry flew into the first row is seats while chasing a loose ball.

The Warriors and the NBA conducted an investigation on Thursday and eventually landed on the punishment for Stevens.
Kerr is a standup guy, so his apology should come as no surprise to anyone that has followed the Warriors for the last five years.
