Cold Weather Fears Unfounded on Super Bowl Sunday

After all the planning and prepping for a cold-weather Super Bowl, the day has arrived and the fears of a snow-covered stadium in New Jersey have not come true.

Sunday was mostly cloudy, with a high of 50 degrees. Temperatures stayed in the mid-to-low 40s during the game, and a slight drizzle fell during halftime.

Turns out, this wasn't even the coldest Super Bowl -- at the 1972 Super Bowl in New Orleans, the temperature was a reported 34 degrees with a wind chill of 24.
