U.S. Skiing: Meet 2018 Winter Olympic Hopeful Stacey Cook

Just one hundred days until the opening ceremony of the winter Olympics and with the games getting so close, we are checking in with athletes from Northern California.

Stacey Cook is already an Olympic veteran. In fact, if this downhill skiier from Truckee makes the team, it will be, at the age of 33, her fourth Olympic Games.

While Cook has been one of the best U.S. skiiers for the past decade, she’s had tough luck at the Olympics, having yet to win a medal.

But Stacey says podium or not, she is proud of all she has accomplished in her career,” Cook said.

"This year I've gotten to a place where I've you know I've done really well and I can be proud of everything I've done and I don't need to prove this Olympic go around. Like I want it I'm definitely trying hard I'm striving for it but it's not it's not a proof thing anymore it's really my own journey.
