The United States Men's National Basketball Team has hit rock bottom.

Team USA will leave the 2019 FIBA World Cup with its worst finish ever in a major international tournament after losing to Serbia, 94-89, in a consolation game Thursday. After two straight losses, the best Team USA can finish now is seventh.

Kings teammates Harrison Barnes and Bogdan Bogdanovic battled it out all game long.

Bogdanovic was the best player on the floor, scoring a game-high 28 points. The 27-year-old guard made seven of his 14 3-point attempts and nailed all three of his 2-pointers. Bogdanovic added six assists and four rebounds, too.

Barnes led Team USA in scoring with 22 points. The veteran forward made seven of his 11 field-goal attempts and all six of his free throws. He grabbed five rebounds and dished six out assists as well.

"I'm a hooper at heart. For me to play competitive basketball in the summer as opposed to pick-up ball is something I'd do in a heartbeat," Barnes said to reporters after the loss. "The chance to represent your country doesn't always come around. You have to savor and jump on those opportunities."

Barnes now is averaging 11.9 points per game in the World Cup, while Bogdanovic is up to 21.7.
