Andre Iguodala Wastes No Time Roasting Steph Curry During โ€˜The Match'

Iguodala wastes no time roasting Steph during 'The Match' originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Steph Curry had the confidence to wear a garish golf shirt in "The Match: Champions for Change" on Friday, and one of his longtime Warriors teammates had the confidence to absolutely roast him.

Andre Iguodala served as an analyst on TNT's broadcast from Stone Canyon Golf Club in Oro Valley, Ariz, and he had the perfect question about Curry's zebra-print shirt during the first hole.

"It's a nice shirt you got on," Iguodala quipped. "I wanna know: How many zebras had to die for you to look fly?"

"One too many, 'Dre," Curry said, after collapsing into his golf cart with laughter. "You know, I pulled this thing off. ... I pulled it off. I learned from the best, you know?"

Iguodala, now with the Miami Heat, played alongside Curry on the Warriors from 2013 through '19. The duo won three championships together, appearing in five straight five NBA Finals. Curry and Iguodala got close during that time, sharing a love of golf and gaining unique insight into one another.

That, of course, came with permission for trash talk.

Iguodala offered a preview of what was to come when he joked Curry's game was trending in the wrong direction ahead of the charity match. He didn't wait long to rib Curry on Friday, and there probably will be plenty where that came from.
