What Did Kerr Learn From Draymond's Social Media Mistake?

Draymond Green got himself into some trouble about a week ago when he accidentally posted an inappropriate photo to Snapchat.

On Sunday, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke with ESPN's Michelle Beadle and Ramona Shelburne about the incident.

"All I know is that I'm one click away from making a horrible mistake," Kerr said. "I know that. That's what I learned from Draymond's mistake. We're all one click away.

"I will just continue to remain ignorant, bury my head in the sand. I am a Twitter guy, so I'm not completely in the dark ages. But not on Snapchat."

Earlier this summer, Draymond was arrested in East Lansing Michigan for allegedly slapping a Michigan State football player.

He was almost suspended during the Western Conference Finals for kicking Steven Adams below the belt, and was suspended for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

"Bob Myers and I talk about everything that happens with our team on and off the floor," Kerr explained. "We're a tag team. Sometimes I'll say something to a player, sometimes Bob will say something. If we both need to, we will.

"With Draymond, he's obviously the one guy that walks the line, toes the line. He's had some issues during the season, whether it's being demonstrative on the floor, in the locker room or getting suspended, or whatever.

"The thing with Draymond, and I learned this from Tom Izzo when I took the job -- I called Coach Izzo and said 'Tell me all about Draymond.' And he said 'Draymond is going to make you pull your hair out sometimes, but he's such a great guy and such a team guy and he's got such a huge heart that he's always going to come back around.'

"He said the big thing with Draymond is just challenge him and be up front with him and don't be afraid to yell at him. And that's the way we've kind of approached it.

"So Draymond and I -- I think it's well-documented, he's probably said it publicly -- we've gotten into it plenty of times, but there's never any lingering ill will. We get along really well. Bob and I try to keep him moving forward, keep the momentum going. Every once in a while, there's a hiccup and we address it and he always gets back on track."
