SALT LAKE CITY -- The Warriors, Jazz and all fans in attendance were forced to leave Vivint Smart Home Arena following Golden State's 113-109 loss in Utah on Friday night after a suspicious package was found nearby.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune's Andy Larsen, a bomb-sniffing dog gave a positive signal after encountering a suspicious package near the El Chubasco restaurant in the arena's concourse.
Following the announcement, both teams were forced to evacuate the area, which is expected to take multiple hours to clear out, according to the Tribune.
Warriors players and staff quickly evacuated their locker room to the team buses at a nearby loading dock less than 30 minutes after the loss, following the throng of people heading to the exits.
As of 10 p.m., all of the Warriors' travel party was accounted for, as Golden State prepared for a late-night flight back to the Bay Area.
A number of players from both teams were forced to leave without a shower and retreated to the arena's player's lot, according to the Tribune. Many reporters covering the game were forced to leave their belongings in the arena, which is in the process of being locked down.
Following the announcement, a number of Jazz players -- including Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles -- urged anyone around the arena to find safety on Twitter.
