Warriors' Steph Curry Is Top Leader in Sports, Stephen A. Smith Says

ESPN's Stephan A. Smith loves the takes, but this one might be one we can all get behind. He recently said Steph Curry is the top leader in all of sports.

"Five straight trips to the NBA Finals -- baby-face assassin, universally recognized as the greatest shooter you've ever seen, but by the way," Smith said on "First Take."

Smith said Curry was the reason Kevin Durant came to the Warriors, and his leadership shows when Curry takes a step back and lets the others shine.

"His selflessness, unselfishness, the fact that he's willing to give and to share the wealth because it ain't all about him -- that's what the bottom line is with Steph Curry," Smith added.

The six-time All-Star exudes leadership -- the most recent evidence came when he had to watch his team play from the comfort of his own home.

Steph watched rookie Eric Paschall drop 17 points in the first quarter against the Trail Blazers on Monday and even sent out a tweet to back it up. He loved watching Paschall shine as he recovered from surgery on his broken hand.

A lot of us might have Smith's back on this one.
