Last Saturday morning -- hours before the Warriors played their first ever game at Chase Center -- a 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit the Bay Area.
That and his first unwarranted parking ticket for $90. https://t.co/IRkldVGIec— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) October 6, 2019
Fast forward five days later to Thursday night, when Golden State coach Steve Kerr pointed at Tim Kawakami of The Athletic after the Dubs' preseason win over the Timberwolves and said:
"I did get a parking ticket, by the way. My 'Welcome to San Francisco Moment.' $78. Street cleaning this morning. I didn't know."
Kerr is lucky. About eight years ago, yours truly had his car towed in the middle of the San Francisco night because he didn't read the street signs. That put a $500 plus dent in the bank account.

But back to the eight-time NBA champion, who also discussed his daily commute to Chase Center.
"I just put on Waze every time I'm driving in, and it takes me a different way every time," Kerr explained. "And I have no idea where I am but the phone helps me get here."

You might remember that Kerr bought a house in San Francisco a little over a year ago, but didn't move in until this past summer.
You're welcome for the hard-hitting news on a Friday afternoon. Have a great weekend.
