Warriors Recall Rookie Jones Ahead of Regular Season Finale

OAKLAND – The Golden State Warriors have recalled rookie center Damian Jones from the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League, the team announced Tuesday.

Jones appeared in 31 games (21 starts) with Santa Cruz over the course of nine assignments this season, averaging 11.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.10 blocks and 1.1 assists in 26.4 minutes. The 7'0", 245-pound center, who was named the NBA D-League Player of the Month for games played in March and April, appeared in all three of the Santa Cruz Warriors' Western Conference Semifinals contests against the Oklahoma City Blue, averaging 13.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.67 blocks in 24.0 minutes.

Jones has appeared in nine games with Golden State this season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.3 minutes.
