The Warriors made a transaction on Monday afternoon.
Golden State signed free agent center Kavion Pippen, and waived guard Devyn Marble.
Kavion, who is the nephew of NBA legend Scottie Pippen, averaged 12.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks over two seasons at Southern Illinois University.
He did not get drafted in June and did not play at Summer League in Las Vegas.
The 22-year-old just might get some playing time during the final four exhibition games, as the Dubs are very thin in the frontcourt right now.
At the very least, Pippen will receive some valuable experience going through some training camp practices.

Marble, meanwhile, is expected to start the season with the Santa Cruz Warriors.
