It's safe to say Raiders coach Jon Gruden was fired up after Oakland's 24-16 season-opening win Monday night over the Broncos.
After all the Antonio Brown drama in recent days, it finally was time to play football. And the Raiders nearly were flawless in front of their home fans.
Gruden had nothing but good things to say to his squad in the locker room after the win.
"That's a hell of a win for you guys, for all of us," Gruden said while addressing his team. "Strange week, you know. But you guys showed a whole ton of mental toughness and I really appreciate it. I'm really proud of ya, man."

Gruden then went on to praise Trent Brown, Kolton Miller and the rest of the offensive line. He also gave a shout out to all the Raiders' rookies.
The win also was Gruden's 100th as a head coach in the NFL. He joked Tuesday that he thought about retiring and going to Hooters to celebrate.
