Watch Steph Curry Nearly Hit Tunnel Shot Before Warriors' Season Opener

Steph Curry's tunnel shot was a Warriors home-game staple for years at Oracle Arena. But because of brand-new Chase Center's geometry, we've long known that the iconic shot won't follow him to San Francisco in the same fashion.

It won't be for lack of effort, though.

As Curry finished his warm-up routine ahead of Chase Center's first NBA regular-season game Thursday night against the Clippers, Steph gave the "new" tunnel shot a try ... and almost made it from behind the backboard.

Back in April, the Warriors superstar said he'd still be willing to try anything he could to keep the tunnel shot going.

"I think geometrically speaking it's not likely," Curry said "Because of where the entrance to the new arena is, but I'll probably get creative with something."

He sure has gotten creative.

It seems pretty impossible for anyone to make that shot, from that distance, at that angle. But if anyone is going to do it, wouldn't it be Steph?

After seeing such a close attempt at his first game, you figure it's a matter of when, not if.
