Watch The Lonely Island Spoof Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire on Netflix

The Bash Brothers are back and better than ever.

The Lonely Island have released a "visual poem" called The Unathorized Bash Brothers Experience on Netflix that takes us back to 1988 in a world where former A's superstars Jose Canseco and Mark McGwire made a rap album.

Along with the short film, The Lonely Island also released The Unathorized Bash Brothers Experience as an album.

Andy Sandberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer formed the comedy trio in Berkeley when they first met in junior high. In the film and album, Sandberg plays the role of Canseco while Taccone is McGwire.

The song "Jose & Mark" was first released at a small show in Pasadena before The Lonely Island performed at the comedy festival Clusterfest in San Francisco.

Sorry Bash Brothers, The Lonely Island's ode to Oakland's past legends beats any 40-40 season or MVP trophy.
