What a Warriors' Win Or Loss in Utah Means for the No. 7 Seed

Though the Warriors cannot know their first-round playoff opponent before the completion of games on Wednesday. The NBA, however, posted all 32 possibilities in advance of the games of Tuesday night.

With the Warriors locked into the No. 2 seed, there are six possible opponents for the 7-seed: Denver, Minnesota, New Orleans, Oklahoma City, San Antonio and Utah.

Most likely opponent, based on anticipated outcomes Wednesday: the Timberwolves or the Spurs.

Here is a peek at the scenarios:

IF the Warriors win at Utah on Tuesday, all six teams remain in play.

IF the Warriors -- who have nothing at stake -- lose at Utah, the field drops to four: the Timberwolves, Spurs, Nuggets and Pelicans. The Thunder and Jazz fall out.

That's as much as can be clarified before Wednesday, when the schedule concludes with a Nuggets-Timberwolves game in Minnesota, a Spurs-Pelicans game in New Orleans and a Grizzlies-Thunder game in Oklahoma City and a Jazz-Trail Blazers game in Portland.

An updated scenario will be posted Tuesday night.

Playoffs matchups and schedules will be released Wednesday night, with four series starting on Saturday and four more on Sunday.
