What Moment Will Steve Kerr Remember Most From Game 5 Afterparty?

The Warriors won the NBA title on Monday night.

The team partied late into the night and into the morning.

Is there a specific moment from the celebration that Steve Kerr will remember the most?

"The party was great but what I'm gonna remember -- the thing that's gonna jump out -- is my exchange with JaVale McGee as the stage was being set on the court, literally minutes after the buzzer sounded," Kerr revealed on The Lowe Post Podcast. "JaVale came up to me -- he was hugging his daugther, his daugther is about six months old I think -- and he was bawling. He was bawling.

"He just came over to me and gave me a huge hug and he just told me how happy he was and how much he loved the team and the season he just had and how meaningful it was. And that's what will jump out."

McGee's playing time in the NBA Finals:

- Game 1 = 5:32
- Game 2 = 2:46
- Game 3 = 7:57
- Game 4 = 6:08
- Game 5 = DNP-CD

"And this is a guy who I didn't play in Game 5," Kerr continued. "I told (him) before the game, I said 'I'm not gonna play you because we're gonna go small most of the game and tighten up our pick-and-roll coverage.' And here's a guy who is just so happy to be a part of it.

"And to me that kind of symbolizes what our team was about -- just the selflessness and how many good guys there are. But JaVale in particular, I just have a soft spot for him. He's an amazing guy and a great teammate."

McGee will be an unrestricted free agent in July after playing for the veteran's minimum this season.
