"I'm here. I'm back."
Those were the words uttered by Steph Curry in the midst of a history performance in Game 4 of the 2016 Western Conference Semifinals against the Blazers. It's one of the most iconic moments of Curry's career.
On the TNT broadcast, it was assumed that Curry was just looking at the fans in Portland when he said that. But two and a half years later, we now know that Curry was looking at someone specific.
Curry was looking at family friend Cameron Brink, according to The San Francisco's Chronicle's Connor Letourneau.
Who is Cameron Brink, you ask? She is a junior at Southridge High School in Beaverton, Oregon, is currently ESPNW's No. 2-ranked female high school basketball players in the country and she is committed to play at Stanford starting in 2020.
What's her connection to Curry? Their families go WAY back and Curry is a an older-brother figure, according to Letourneau.
So why was Curry looking at Brink in that moment? According to the story, Curry was over at the Brink's house in suburban Portland watching the NBA playoffs and fell asleep on their couch. The next day, Curry returned to the lineup after missing four games with a sprained right ankle.

Curry came off the bench and scored just 11 points in the first half. He added 12 more in the second half and had a ho-hum 23 points as the game went to overtime. That's when Curry took over, scoring an NBA-record 17 points in overtime to lift the Warriors a 132-125 win and a 3-1 series lead.
Curry's "I'm back" moment came when he hit a 3-pointer with 1:51 remaining in the overtime period. The shot gave the Warriors a 123-118 lead.
Curry and the Warriors are back in Portland on Saturday night to take on the Blazers. According to Letourneau, the Brinks will be at the game and they will wear split Steph Curry-Seth Curry jerseys.
