Will Ferrell Grabs Oakland A's Teammates Burritos and Energy Drinks

Will Ferrell was busy with baseball and burritos on Thursday, as the comedian became an A's baseball player during a spring training tour where he intends to play every position on the field for an upcoming HBO movie he's dedicating to fighting cancer.

The A's tweeted out funny photos of Farrell, pushing away cameras at the Arizona spring training camp because he was in "beast mode," asking questions in the clubhouse, such as "How much money do you make?" stretching with the crew, and offering to grab his teammates burritos and energy drinks.

Ferrell is also set to play catcher for  San Francisco Giants on Thursday afternoon.

The HBO special is being filmed in conjunction with the "Funny or Die" website that Ferrell co-founded.

HBO said Ferrell is dedicating his special to fighting cancer. He also will honor Bert Campaneris' fete of playing nine positions in a game five decades ago.

Memorabilia collected during Ferrell's tour will be auctioned off at MLB.com, with proceeds going to College of Cancer and Stand Up to Cancer, according to HBO.
