Yasiel Puig Failed Miserably in Attempt to Break Bat Over His Leg

Yasiel Puig has broken a bat over his leg a few times during his career.

He tried again on Wednesday in Oakland and it didn't go well at all.

In the top of the seventh inning, with the Dodgers trailing the A's 2-1 and a runner on first base, Puig was facing Lou Trivino as the potential go-ahead run. Instead of coming through for the Dodgers, Puig fouled out to first base. As he exited the batter's box, he tried to snap the bat over his left thigh. The bat survived.

After returning to the dugout, Puig was seen bent over, possibly in pain from his failed attempt.

Puig finished the night 0-for-3 with a walk and no broken bats. The A's would go on to win 3-2.
