Twitter's Biz Stone Joins HuffPo

Just how serious is Ariana Huffington to show AOL a return on its investment in her media empire? Twitter serious.

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone will be joining the Huffington Post as an adviser on "social impact and cause-based initiatives."

As vague as that title may sound, given Twitter's recent roll in overthrowing governments in the Middle East, it makes some sense.

AOL CEO Tim Armstrong told the Associated Press that Stone will advice HuffPo on "using innovative approaches to do good and give back."

The left-leaning site also announced it will be hiring 10 new writers. This just a few days after AOL, HuffPo's new parent company, announced it will be cutting 900 jobs across the globe.
