Christmas Lights Could Be Interfering with Your Wi-Fi Connection

Christmas decorations may be the reason your internet has been lagging.

Festive Christmas lights may be the reason your favorite web page won’t load properly, according to British government officials.

The officials said that the wiring in the lights can add to the radio frequency interference in your home. Apparently, that can confuse the signals coming from your router.

Many internet providers even claim to see an uptick in customer complaints around the holidays, so perhaps there is something to the findings.

If you just put up Christmas decorations and your internet connection is suddenly on the fritz, try moving the lights as far away from the router as possible.

You could also take the lights down completely, but where’s the fun in that?
