NSA Spying Revelations Could Cost Silicon Valley Billions

Continuing revelations about NSA spying could mean multi-billion dollar losses yearly for some U.S. Internet companies, including to some in Silicon Valley.

Analysts say anxiety over the NSA's spying has prompted a widespread view that it is unsafe to do business with U.S. cloud companies which offer software products over the Internet.

The Cloud Security Alliance found 56 percent of the 207 foreign respondents were less likely to use U.S. cloud providers in the future.
