Need Sunglasses? Go Online

Virtual reality helps you get the perfect pair

Shopping online is already huge, but when it comes to clothing, it's not all that efficient. Just about every Stitch Fix or Zappos purchase into my house has left the house, back in its box.

It's just tough to get the right fit.

Now, a startup called Ditto wants to change that, starting with your face.

Ditto sells glasses - shades and prescription specs - along with a pretty cool way to make sure you're getting the right fit. Look into your webcam, and the company takes over, using virtual reality to give you the right pair. You choose the brand and style, get fitted, and then you can buy the pair right then.

For now, you have to use a laptop, but mobile tech will soon get its day with Ditto, which already has an app. The company makes money when you buy glasses, and the selection is pretty good.

It's a new way to shop, that you can get your head around.
