The Real Guitar Hero Guitar has a Touchscreen Instead of Strings

The Kitara guitar is like a guitar from the game Guitar Hero — only it's not. Where there would normally be a bunch of strings, there is an 8-inch touchscreen.

Where you would normally press frets, there are buttons. A Les Paul — the Kitara is not.

Misa Digital's Kitara guitar is all about bringing the beloved instrument into the 21st century — with a multi-touch screen that displays six strings that can be strum with your fingertips instead of using a pick. It reminds us of an iPad slapped onto a guitar.

If a giant touchscreen and 24 frets is your idea of how to make Justin Bieber's next hit song, you can pre-order a Kitara up for $850.
