Yahoo may not be the best place to work these days with all its layoffs and pressure to redefine itself. But one area the web portal has thrived is its sports coverage.
With about 50 million monthly visitors to its sports pages, Yahoo is looking to translate the success of the most popular sports site on the web into a a new online magazine.
Yahoo launched a digital sports magazine called ThePostGame earlier this week in a joint venute with the sports blogging networking SportsFanLive.com
The site will differ from the main Yahoo sports sites by publishing longer format stories and investigative pieces, much like ESPN the Magazine and Sports Illustrated.
