iPhone's Favorite Seafood Joint Nets $4 Million

Remember that seafood restaurant that scored marketing gold in one of Apple's first iPhone commercials?

Well now Pacific Catch is striking venture capital gold with a $4 million round of funding, according to the Biz Journals.

Pacific Catch was famously the center point of one of the first commercials pushing the now infamous iPhone. The ad showed how to find a local seafood restaurant using the maps feature on the smartphone.

The restaurant says they did not pay for the ad, nor do they have any direct connection to Steve Jobs. But the placement was a huge boom for the restaurant with two San Francisco locations and another in Corte Madera.

Now, Pacific Catch has $4 million to play with to further push its name. The company plans to use the funding to open new locations, including its first venture into the South Bay early next year.
