Fire Leaves SoCal Strip Club Topless

A fire damaged a West Hollywood strip club Thursday morning and two firefighters suffered minor injuries, authorities said.

Firefighters were sent to The Body Shop in the 8200 block of Sunset Boulevard at 6:46 a.m., a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said.

The fire was extinguished in about an hour, said county fire Inspector Frank Garrido. The cause of the fire was under investigation. A damage estimate was not immediately available.

Two firefighters suffered minor injuries, said county fire Inspector Sam Padilla.

The fire burned through the roof of the building, and firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent structures. Traffic was routed away from the area.

The Body Shop's Web site describes the business as "the longest running strip club in L.A."
