Sold Out Ball Pit Party for Adults May Spawn Sequel

Overwhelming response to a sold-out adult ball pit pop-up party at a San Francisco bar may lead to a second event.

"Growing up is never easy," reads a Facebook event page for "The World's First Pop-up Ball Pit Bar," to be held at San Francisco bar Romper Room in March. "Come celebrate and reunite with your inner child!"

Over 5,400 people registered as "interested" on the page, more than 50 times the capacity of the bar.

"I don't want to give away too much, but depending on the success of the event, we would certainly consider holding the ball pit at other venues in the city," said event promoter Ryan Lum of Forward Motion San Francisco.

Forward Motion, described as a "bucket listing organization," previously held a large-scale combination Twister match and water fight in Dolores Park in 2014.

Lum revealed that he's currently in talks with a nightclub that he'd be very excited to partner with in the future. He says he's also busy dreaming up other events to keep adults feeling forever youthful.
