Coyote Gets Caught in Car Grill for Hours

A coyote struck by a fast-moving car near the Nevada-Utah border apparently became trapped by the vehicle's grill and rode for several hours.

The people in the car called a animal rehabilitation center volunteer last Monday to report the wild find inside their grill.

The group was riding in a Honda at about 75 mph along Interstate 80 when they saw some coyotes running nearby. One of the coyotes ran in front of the car.

The coyote survived the 8 to 10 hour ride undiscovered.

The rescuers brought a catch pole, an animal carrier, gloves and blankets to contain the coyote.

The coyote stayed in a crate for four days resting up, before it managed to push up the steel at the bottom of a kennel to free itself. It hasn't been seen since.
