"Hidden Cash" Using Twitter to Send Out Tips on Finding Money Stashed in Bay Area

A person who claims to have made a fortune flipping homes is now hiding money all over the Bay Area and using Twitter to send out tips on how to find the cash.

The person uses the Twitter account @HiddenCash. Several people claim to have found $100 or $200 in envelopes signed "With Love, @hiddencash."

The Bold Italic, a San Francisco-based online magazine, reported receiving a tip from an anonymous person saying they have launched a campaign hiding cash all over the city.

"This will continue indefinitely. There is nothing commercial behind this. It is a social experiment," the tipster wrote to the Bold Italic.
