2nd Day of Heat Advisory, Spare the Air Alert, Unprecedented Early School Dismissal

Continuing hot weather has prompted the Bay Area Air Quality Management District to call another Spare the Air alert for Wednesday, and the early dismissal of at least one school district because of the expected soaring temperatures. In an unprecedented move, the Campbell Union High School District announced that the school day will be shortened at its eight schools on Wednesday and Thursday due to the extreme heat advisory. Students will be dismissed at about 11:30 a.m. and no outside activities will be permitted, officials said. Kris Sanchez reports.
