31-Cent Ice Cream for a Good Cause

Take the kiddies out for a tasty treat on Wednesday and help the families of firefighters who died in the course of duty at the same time. Baskin-Robbins' is hosting its annual 31 Cent Scoop Night.

People who show up today (April 27) between 5 and 10 p.m. can buy a 2.5 oz. scoop of ice cream for just 31 cents. It's part of the chain's "Scooping up Thanks for Our Firefighters" program. As part of the program Baskin-Robbins' will make a $100,000 donation to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

The NFFF honors America's fallen fire heroes and assists their families. This year people can also donate to the foundation via text. Just text "NFFF" to 50555 and you will make a personal $5 donation to the fund.
